District Governor

An avid nature lover, Prafull has been born and brought up in the Mumbai. His family originates from Rajasthan. He did his schooling from Podar School, Santacruz and then studied Science at KJ Somaniya College, Ghatkopar, Later, after studying Printing Technology from Government Institute of Printing Technology and Photography, at JJ School of applied Arts Campus, Mumbai; he went to Germany to specialise in Advanced Printing and Studied there for two Years.
While in Germany, he was offered a job at Thomson Press. He took it up and moved to Faridabad. Five years later, he moved to Indore to join the Prominent Nai Dunia Printery. Since 1993, He is Partner at a Printery unit, Scanna Graphics, in Mumbai. He also runs a content agency, Content creators, with his Wife.
A Paul Harris society member, Prafull was invited to the world of Rotary in 1992(during his Brief stay in Indore) and the very next, was declare the Best Rotarian of the year by RC of Indore Central. On Relocating to Mumbai in 1995 he shifted to Borivali and became a member of Rotary Club of Borivali.
During his tenure as the president of Rotary Club of Borivali in 2000-01, he began the much acclaimed mega project of Plastic free Sanjay Gandhi NationalPark. The Innerwheel Club of Borivali was formed and chartered the same year. And so was the Rotary Club of Borivali Charitable Trust which also Became active that very Year. The Foundation of two new Rotary Clubs - Rotary Club of Bombay Kandivli, and Rotary Club of Mumbai Borivali East, too were laid in the same year.
Prafull has been instrumental in the formation of the innerwheel Club of Bombay Kandivli. he has served District 3140 in various capacities in all the avenues of services and is a Recipient of Rotary international's Four Avenues of services Award'. In June, 2009, he was our District's GSE Team Leader to RI Dist. 1940 in Berlin, Germany. A Hindi lover, Prafull has translated a script, 'Astronomy of the Millennium' in Hindi for Nehru Planetarium, and is a voracious reader with a keen interest in travelling, trekking, Cycling and Performing arts.
Better half Vidyomatta, a senior media professional (print, television, digital and films), has been a journalist for two decades. At Present, she is Business Head - Content with major media group. Daughter Aavrutti, an RYE student to RI Dist. 1940 (Berlin, Germany) in 2011-12, was National daily DNA's youngest blogger in the same duration as she shared her experience as an Exchange Student from Berlin though her blog, Gypsy in Germany. She was mentioned in the RI newsletter for New Generation for the same. She is, at present as a Bachelor of Mass Media (BMM) student in Mumbai and is an Active rotractor of Rotaract Club of Mumbai Borivali. Both Vidyomatta and Aavratti are Paul Harris fellows.
